All attorney inquiries should be directed through our online legal inquiry form. This form is for legal inquiries only. All other inquires will not be answered. Attorneys are not permitted to accompany their clients into the Consulate.
Public inquiries regarding visa denials, administrative processing or American Citizen Services should be directed to our online public inquiry form. This form should not be used to request general information, which can be obtained by browsing this website or calling our call center at the numbers listed above under Visa Information/Appointments. This form should not be used to request the status of a pending I-601 waiver application or for an explanation of a denied waiver application.
If you have received a notice that your I-601 waiver has been approved but have not been contacted by the Department of State to continue with the immigrant visa process, please be aware that we have not yet received your waiver approval from USCIS. Your file is likely located with the USCIS office in Ciudad Juarez, who may be contacted via mail. The Department of State will have no additional information, and we will be unable to continue processing the case, until we receive the file from USCIS. Unfortunately, USCIS is unable to provide us with an estimated processing time. Once we have received the file from USCIS, we will contact the applicant with instructions on how to proceed with the processing of the case.
If you are a U.S. Congressional office seeking the status of a constituent's case, please email us. Alternatively, we invite you to use our online form, which will help ensure that you provide all of the information necessary so that the consulate can quickly and efficiently respond to your inquiry. Note: The email address and the form are for congressional inquiries only. All other inquires will not be answered.
All inquiries regarding pending Ciudad Juarez (CDJ) waiver applications (such as I-601 or I-212 applications) should be made directly to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), which has sole authority to adjudicate waivers of inadmissibility.
