General information regarding Federal Benefits is available to all visitors. The Federal Benefits Unit accepts and develops applications for Social Security, Railroad, Veterans Administration and Office of Personnel Management benefits for residents of the states of Chihuahua, Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, Durango, Sonora and Baja California Norte.

The Federal Benefits Unit has outreach/contact stations once a month at the US Consulates in Tijuana and Monterrey and at the Visa Processing Center in Mexicali. Services are provided at the contact stations on the following days:
Tijuana, 4th Thursday of every month
Mexicali, 4th Wednesday of every month
Monterrey, 2nd Wednesday and Thursday of every month
Applicants are accepted on a walk-in basis, but if you wish to make an appointment, please call the number listed above.
