If your visa case number appears below, the administrative processing on your case is complete and the Consulate is ready to proceed with your case. See the Notes column for instructions on how to proceed. If you were told that your case needs additional administrative processing and your case number does not appear below, the Consulate is not yet ready to proceed with your case. Please check back on this site every week for updates. Administrative processing usually takes 6 - 8 weeks, but in some cases requires additional time.

You need to send in your Mexican passport. As part of the continued processing of your case, you need to visit http://mexico.usvisa-info.com. You will need to log onto the website using your Passport Number, Date of Birth and Nationality. Next, click "Submit documents to the Consular Section." Next, click the "Non-Immigrant Visas" link. When prompted to select a Trip Purpose, you will choose 'Second Interview Required' and then indicate that you need to submit additional information by courier. Next, choose the US Consulate in Ciudad Juarez, confirm your DHL location, and press continue. Finally, print the your "Confirmation" page showing you successfully requested additional documents be mailed to the Consulate. Take your documents (including your passport) to the DHL office you chose. These will be mailed through DHL at no additional cost.

 

Once we receive your Mexican passport your visa will be printed and returned to you by courier at no extra charge. If you are unable to access the website, you can also contact the call center and indicate to the agent that you need to submit additional information by courier. Click here for a list of telephone numbers to contact our call center

 

 

You must visit this same website to check on the delivery of your visa. 

 

 

Attention: if your spouse and/or your children (dependents on your application) are applying for a Border Crossing Card (BCC-laser visa), your dependents should not send in their passports. 

 

 

Attention: If you are NOT a citizen of Mexico and your case is listed above, you will have to come to the consulate information window during the hours of 8:00 am - 10:00 am Monday through Friday.

 

 

** You must be re-interviewed by a consular officer at the Consulate.  

 

Please contact the call center at during regular business hours to select a time for your 221(g) follow-up interview. Click here for a list of telephone numbers to contact our call center. You will be required to provide your passport number, date of birth and nationality. Tell the operator that you received instructions through the website and you are required to schedule a "follow-up interview." The operator will tell you which dates and times are available for the interview.

 

You will need to bring your valid Mexican passport and 221(g) letter you received at your first interview.

 

 

Spouses and children that are dependents (derivatives) should also attend the second interview with the principal applicant. The dependents (derivatives) visas will not be approved before the principal applicant is approved. For example: F2, J2, L2 and H4 will not be issued before the respective F1, J1, L1 and H1B are issued.
