PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

Photograph must be taken within the past 6 months.

Photos should measure 2 x 2 inches (approx. 5 cm x 5 cm) with the head center in the frame. The face should cover about 50 percent of the area of the photo. Both ears must be visible.

Applicant should be facing the camera directly, should not be looking down or to either side.

Side or angled views are NOT accepted.

Photos should be in color, taken against a white or off-white background.

Applicant should be dressed in normal street attire without a hat. If applicant must wear head cover, the ears and the forehead must be seen clearly. Head coverings and hats are only acceptable due to religious beliefs, and even then, may not cover any portion of the applicant's face.

Photos should be printed without borders.

Sunglasses or other wear which detracts from the face are not acceptable, unless required for medical reasons (an eye patch, for example). A medical certificate may be required.

A photograph depicting a person wearing a traditional facemask or veil that does not permit adequate identification is not acceptable.

Photos of military, airline, or other personnel wearing hats are not acceptable. Photographs of applicants wearing tribal, national costume, or other headgear not specifically religious in nature are not acceptable.

Digitally reproduced photographs must be reproduced without discernible pixels or dot patterns. Photocopied photographs are not accepted.
