Administrative Process Status for Immigrant Visa (Resident) Applicants
If your visa case number appears below, the administrative processing on your case is complete and the Consulate is ready to proceed with your case. See the Notes column for instructions on how to proceed
If you were told that your case needs additional administrative processing and your case number does not appear below, the Consulate cannot yet proceed with your case. Please check back on this site every week for updates. Administrative processing usually takes 6 – 8 weeks but in some cases requires additional time.

IMPORTANT REMINDER REGARDING MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS
Medical exam results are valid for 3 to 6 months from the date of the doctor’s signature, depending on the results. If your case is subject to further administrative processing, your medical report may expire during the process. In that case, you are required to renew your examination and submit an updated medical report to our office.

** Your visa has been denied, but you are eligible to apply for a waiver. Your visa has been denied. A formal denial letter and waiver instructions (if applicable) will be sent to your petitioner/appointed representative via DHL courier.
*** Your medical exam has expired. You must complete a new medical examination at one of the Consulate’s designated panel physician clinics and submit it, along with your passport, at the Consulate’s information window during business hours. After review of the new medical examination, a response will be sent to your petitioner/designated representative via DHL courier.
**** You must be re-interviewed by a consular officer at the Consulate. Your case requires another interview. To request an appointment, please contact the call center at one of the numbers below.
